WeKnow Technologies (Est.1999) has discontinued the distribution and installation of the small 2.4KW wind turbine (3.7 meter blade). The small wind turbine market trend is towards larger, grid-tied systems. AWEA 2010 Small Wind Report. Click here.

We now design and manufacture the Aztec 3, 5, 10 & 20 KW (5 to 10 meter blade diameter) wind turbines.  As a wind turbine manufacturer and volume distributor of utility grade solar panels, we are dedicated to eliminating your electric bill while saving you money on your wind turbine or solar array purchase. Our team of renewable energy experts can save you money by evaluating your electric usage, home design, energy performance, and renewable energy site. Learn more about energy usage - Click here!

The Aztec wind turbine "market launch" with Terry Bradshaw is currently under contract. We are working with scriptwriters and should be broadcasting within the next 60 days. In preparation, we are updating our website and have developed some great investor, customer and new dealer promotional programs. These programs are limited. Please contact your representative for details.

The Aztec wind turbine has advanced variable pitch blades (same as utility grade wind turbines - see video) enabling it to produce safe and useable energy at any wind speed. This turbine design can survive wind speeds of up to 123-134 MPH. The primary advantages of variable vs. fixed blade systems are: higher energy production, faster start-up in low wind speeds, less noise, less structural stress under high winds, and continued energy production compared to fixed blade systems that incorporate side furling. This is when the entire turbine structure is angled away from the wind and physically falls back into position, creating a stall and loss of energy production. In addition, fixed blade systems excessively use electronic speed protection causing the system to turn off during wind gusts.

Aztec wind turbines are specifically designed to capture more wind energy at lower wind speeds and continue far past the production range of fixed blade wind turbines (see video). These turbines are the results of many years dedicated to research and development. Its engineering and design is based on experience with utility grade wind turbines. The Aztec wind turbines belong to the ‘new generation’ of small wind turbines, offering class leading quality, performance, and reliability.

The Aztec wind turbines are designed to generate clean energy for schools, farms, rural homes & small businesses.

Renewable energy is the key to our low-carbon future, as well as diversifying our energy resources.

Today, wind power continues to grow as a profitable and effective energy resource. WeKnow Technologies, Inc. is at the heart of this energy revolution and supports homeowners, businesses and organizations around the world to become independent, green energy producers.

Site Requirements

Wind Turbine:

  • Average wind speed of at least 10 MPH (best results at 11 MPH or more) What is your wind speed? Click here

  • Property is 1 Acre or more and is unobstructed

  • Local zoning department allows structures that are at least 50'-80' tall - Please call your city for details.

Solar Panels (PV):

  • At least 400 square feet of roof or yard space facing south

Planning

Incentive:

  • 30% Federal tax credit with no cap (Expires 2016). Click here

  • Example: 20K financed x 30% = $6,000

  • Net cost after tax credit: $14,000

  • Equipment depreciation for business, farm & ranch. Click here

Finance:

Interest rates are so low that you may be able to add your renewable energy project to the mortgage, lower your house payments, and eliminate your electric bill.  That's cash in your pocket every month!

  • Equity Line of Credit: is the easy way to make this type of purchase.  The interest is tax deductible and credit limit is equal to your available equity. A typical bank can approve this type of loan on the same day. Also has been used as a construction loan and then refinanced. If you have rock on your property, this may be a good first step, as rock work is billed by the hour.

  • Refinance -  you can normally invest more and eliminate your electric bill entirely with long term, low payments.

  • Leasing is also a good option for business owners.

  • Check out current rates  - Click here

Budget:

  • 30% Targeted Production: 3-4.8K per 1000 square feet.

  • 50% Targeted Production: 5-8K per 1000 square feet.

  • 100%Targeted Production: 10-16K per 1000 square feet.

  • Our customers spend about 26K on average.

* This budget is based on 11 MPH average wind speeds or 5.3 sun hours. If your average speed is greater than 12 MPH (often found with taller towers) then budget less per square foot. It also depends on usage, age of home, home design, and efficiency as well as wind or solar resources. Some customers with great wind will start small and are often happy with the results. Others will call us years later seeking additional tax relief and energy production.

Sales Tax:

  • Solar and wind equipment is taxable.

  • Agricultural exemption is available for farm use. Please check with your accountant for verification.
